“The addition of this oak framed garden room has transformed the way in which the house is used, both internally and externally in summer months. Arboreta created an all year round room that is loved and adored by the owners and guests alike”

Our designer, Michael O’Donovan, came up with this faceted garden room design that the client loved. Leading from the kitchen, this open plan vaulted ceiling design creates the additional space required to entertain, along with creating large glass panels to bring in the views of the delightful garden. On the inside, Mike positioned a few king trusses and left the oak rafters exposed to create feeling of both height and charm. The solid wall to the side created warmth by including a fire and some additional space to hang some of the clients’ artworks. The clients decided to lay limestone flooring throughout the interior and to the external terrace to create a seamless transition between the two.
