CASE STUDY

Totty

“This beautiful design provided our clients with the perfect finishing touch to their family home. They expressed their delight at the service offered by Arboreta and enjoy entertaining in their newly acquired room.”

Forming part of the brief was their wish to maximise views over the fields from the upstairs windows. This view was not to be interrupted or blocked by any part of the new room. John Baker, our designer, came up with an orangery for the concept.  By removing the existing doors and windows from the old house wall and installing a lantern in the orangery roof, light flooded the room and made it feel airy, bright and spacious. With two young children, this room has become the hub of the house with lovely views over the neighbouring fields.

Our clients wanted an extra room to extend from the kitchen and be large enough to accommodate seating and a dining table. Mr & Mrs Totty wanted the room to feel light and airy and be warm in winter and cool in summer.
