CASE STUDY

Marjoram

“We followed the brief and our Designer, Chris Piggott, cleverly designed a garden room with exposed oak rafters to the inside of the roof.”

We followed the brief and our Designer, Chris Piggott, cleverly designed a garden room with exposed oak rafters to the inside of the roof. We also included a king truss across the roof as the Marjoram’s wished to see as much of the roof detail as possible. The vaulted tiled roof creates the feeling of space and allows for extra light to come through the glass gable to the front.

This beautiful oak framed extension fits perfectly on this listed Dorset house.

Mr & Mrs Marjoram’s brief was to create a family room to enjoy more of the views of their garden and the far reaching views beyond. Being south facing, heat was also going to be an issue and the Marjoram’s did not want a conservatory with a large glass roof.
Order Lookbook

We obtained planning and listed consents for the oak framed extension and completed the building on time and on budget.
